SUMMARY:
Under general supervision, designs, oversees, and performs software release process in support of PNMR enterprise computing systems.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Coordinates enterprise software system releases to ensure that the integrity of computing systems are protected and the correct components are released.
Supports staging and QA environment deployments.
Identifies opportunities for the automation of existing deployment processes.
Certifies all software development artifacts through the BTS Change Management approval process.
Verifies, tracks, and complies software development artifacts through code version management tools and software development life cycles.
COMPETENCIES:
Ability to work effectively with internal and external customers, including various levels of management, whom collectively will have broad ranges of technical and business competency
In-depth knowledge of at least one of PNM's current software/hardware platforms
Ability to interpret and understand the impact of system and architecture changes to enterprise computing platforms.
Ability to interpret and apply process improvement techniques to resolve regulatory challenges.
QUALIFICATIONS
MINIMUM EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university with five to seven years related experience, or equivalent combination of education and/or experience related to the discipline.
Two to six years of previous release and/or deployment management experience.
Eight to ten years of experience in information systems operations environment in systems administration, including task automation using scripting.
