A day in the life - Get ready to think big, work smart and shine bright!
Operates hydraulic truck cranes 90 tons and up, trucks and related equipment, in conjunction with crews performing construction, maintenance, repair work, and similar projects. Considers lifting leverages, capacities and limitations of equipment and determines equipment use in relation to varying conditions. Greases, oils, cleans and makes minor repairs or adjustments to equipment. Inspects equipment and maintains inspection records. Trains and instructs other operators as required.
Qualifications
The Essentials
- Experience working as a Crane Operator.
- Maintain all necessary certificates and licenses required by local, state and federal regulations, which includes a current California Certificate to Operate Mobile hydraulic cranes with fixed and rotating cabs. Must have the ability to operate, maintain and make minor repairs to all types and classes of cranes, truck and related equipment.
- Class A Drivers License
- NCCCO certifications (TLL, TSS, STC).
- Ability to:
- Operate, maintain and make minor repairs to hydraulic truck cranes, trucks and related equipment.
- Work skillfully and safely when operating, maintaining, or repairing equipment and when working with others.
- Understand and follow instructions given in written, oral, and diagrammatic form; understand and follow hand signals.
- Use hand and power tools; perform heavy physical tasks; work in high places such as when servicing cranes.
- Work in a dusty, noisy environment.
- Maintain all necessary certificates and licenses required by local, state and federal regulations. - The knowledge, skills, and abilities required to perform this job are normally acquired through a high school education or trade school courses.

- This position's work mode is on-site. The employee will report to an SCE facility or in the field location. Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage.
