Job Summary
This position will directly oversee/coordinate all nuclear learning programs (CAP, self-assessment, benchmarking, Training and OE) for the specific department assigned at PSEG Nuclear. Review/evaluation of performance data from corrective action, and Performance Improvement (PI) programs, and other sources to identify issue significance, potential trends, strengths, improvement opportunities, and performance shortfalls.
Job Responsibilities
- Develop and implementation of strategies to improve organizational performance.
- Develop and coordinate the Self-Assessment and Benchmarking schedules. Participate as requested in benchmarking, investigations, assessment, event cause determination and other performance improvement activities.
- Coordinate the Operating Experience Program
- Act as the Department Training Coordinator
- Provide recommendations to management on when to escalate events of concern for accelerated review and correction.
- Assigning trend codes to department condition reports
- Identify gaps in performance and develop actions to close those gaps.
- Establish and maintain performance indicators and business plan metrics/reports to manage the health of Learning Programs in the assigned department.
- Manage multiple, active or unrelated, streams of work, see issues from a strategic perspective and drive results on a tactical level is essential.
Job Specific Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor's degree. In lieu of degree 5 years of nuclear or commercial power plant experience.
- 2 years of experience in one of the following disciplines: Operations, Engineering, Maintenance, Work Mgmnt, Radiation Protection, PI or Chemistry.
- Communication and organizational skills
- Knowledge in implementing a PI, Learning, and/or Human Performance programs.
- SAP proficiency.
- Support station outages and participate in the ERO.
- Must meet and maintain nuclear unescorted plant access
Desired:
- SRO / RO license or certification; or system engineering certification.
- Root cause analysis qualification and/or lead auditor.
