Emerson, a global technology and engineering leader, is seeking an Undergraduate Outside Sales Intern to join our Actuation Technologies team in Houston. Job Responsibilities:
Customer Relationship Building:
- Collaborate with the outside sales team and management to build and strengthen customer relationships.
- Engage with existing and potential customers to understand their needs and preferences.
Sales Support and Analysis:
- Assist the outside sales team in analyzing market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback.
- Participate in the development of sales strategies and tactics to meet business goals.
Sales Data Management:
- Work on data entry and management tasks related to customer information, sales orders, and leads.
- Utilize CRM tools and databases to maintain accurate and up-to-date sales records.
- Market Research and Prospect Identification:
- Conduct market research to identify potential leads and target markets.
- Assist in prospecting efforts to expand the customer base.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Engage with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful execution of sales initiatives.
- Gather feedback from customers and internal stakeholders to drive continuous improvement in our sales approach.
Documenting Sales Processes:
- Document sales procedures, best practices, and customer interactions for knowledge sharing within the team.
- Prepare and present reports on sales activities, leads, and potential opportunities to sales management and other stakeholders.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills:
- Successfully completed Sophomore year of University, or above
- Excellent computer skills and a technical aptitude that includes strong data gathering skills, expertise, interpretation, and reporting
- Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and written.
- Commitment to a full time (40 hours a week) Summer internship experience in Houston, TX.
