Are you ready for a new challenge? We have an exciting opportunity to join our Finance and Accounting team as our VP of Investor Relations!
As the Vice President of Investor Relations, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing our relationships with the investment community, promoting transparency, and effectively communicating our company's financial performance, strategies, and growth prospects. You will lead the Investor Relations team in crafting and executing comprehensive investor communication strategies that align with our corporate objectives and contribute to the company's success.
Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement a cohesive investor relations strategy that aligns with the company's goals and values. Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to the Investor Relations team.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with institutional investors, analysts, and key stakeholders. Serve as the primary point of contact for investor inquiries and interactions.
- Financial Communication: Lead the development of clear and accurate messaging for financial results, earnings releases, annual reports, and other investor-related materials. Ensure consistency in messaging and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Earnings Calls and Presentations: Oversee the preparation of earnings call scripts and presentations for senior management. Act as a key spokesperson during earnings calls and investor conferences.
- Market Analysis: Monitor market trends, competitive landscape, and industry dynamics to provide insights that enhance investor understanding of the company's position and strategic direction.
- Corporate Governance: Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to ensure compliance with regulatory reporting and disclosure obligations. Maintain a strong understanding of applicable securities laws and regulations.
- Crisis Management: Work closely with the executive team to develop and execute investor communication plans during times of crisis or significant company events.
- Investor Targeting: Identify and target potential investors to expand the company's investor base. Develop strategies to engage with new and existing shareholders.
- Team Management: Build and lead a high-performing Investor Relations team. Provide coaching, development opportunities, and performance feedback to team members.
You Have:
- Extensive experience in developing and executing investor communication strategies.
- Strong understanding of financial analysis, reporting, and disclosure requirements.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex financial information to diverse audiences.
- In-depth knowledge of securities regulations and compliance practices.
- Demonstrated leadership and team management capabilities.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to build and maintain relationships with investors, analysts, and stakeholders.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to align investor relations efforts with broader company objective.
- Proven track record of 15+ years in Investor Relations, finance, or related roles within the oil and gas industry.
- MBA or CFA preferred.
