Job Duties & Responsibilities
DUTIES:
- Under general supervision, preplans and executes or performs environmental and chemical testing and evaluation of chemistry and radiochemistry conditions associated with plant operations.
- Operates power plant auxiliary systems associated with plant chemistry operations.
- Maintains chemistry lab and count room, analytical instrumentation and in line monitoring on chemistry parameters and systems.
- Performs minor and household maintenance on department operated systems.
- Performs Radiation Protection work associated with Radiation Protection operations and systems consistent with training.
Job Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS:
Must meet the Company's "General Requirements", and, in addition:
1. Must successfully complete the Nuclear Technician - Chemistry (1715) Modular Training Course.
2. Must demonstrate:
- The ability to follow detailed instructions and carry out complex assignments.
- An aptitude for mechanical and technical work.
- Keen faculties of observation.
- Oral and written communication skills necessary for performance of the work.
3. Must have successfully completed the appropriate Pre Employment Tests except that an employee hired prior to May 1, 1977 who has or obtains a high school diploma or its equivalent does not have to complete the Pre Employment Tests.
4. Must be able to qualify for an auto driver's license to operate vehicles in the State of New Jersey.
