This will be a regional support position between Clover and Chesterfield Power Station located at Clover Power Station
Collects environmental samples and conducts various inspections (oil, storm water, waste, etc.), recording and analyzing data and reporting on findings
Provides technical and analytical support, to power station or company personnel, for water, fuel, chemical and environmental samples.
Evaluates new methods, techniques, and instrumentation in the laboratory.
Reviews and interprets chemistry data and instrumentation results.
Analyzes samples, monitors chemical quality of operating systems and cycles, fuel, wastes, etc.,
Prepares and submits recommendations to management for review and consideration.
Provides analysis, reviews, sampling, and/or trending of data on environmental and operational conditions.
Develops programs to evaluate station or company chemistry, identify problems, and meet regulatory requirements.
Performs maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting for advanced analytical instrumentation and lab equipment.
Works closely with crafts to repair and troubleshoot water treatment equipment. .
Provides training and technical information to lower level staff.
Orders supplies and equipment for laboratory and bulk chemicals for the operation of the station.
Maintains chemistry databases and information.
Coordinates lab quality control program and regulatory inspections.
May prepare daily reports to management, including graphs of daily chemistry performance.
Performs other chemistry and environmental compliance duties as required.
Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience
The knowledge, skills, abilities and experience required for entry into this job include the following:
Chemist I: 1+ years of related chemistry experience.
Chemist II: 3+ years of related chemistry experience.
Chemist III: 5+ years of related chemistry experience.
Chemistry experience in a like or industrial environment are preferred
Valid driver's license is required
In-depth knowledge of analytical chemistry, laboratory concepts, and laboratory techniques
Full knowledge of environmental regulations
In-depth knowledge of computer applications
Basic knowledge of company operations

Licenses, Certifications, or Quals Description
Incumbents assigned to a Nuclear Facility must meet applicable location specific minimum education, experience and training requirements specified by American National Standard Industrial (ANSI) for the qualification and training of nuclear power plant personnel.
