Description
This position may be considered for a hybrid work arrangement based on Superior Water Light & Power's needs. A hybrid work arrangement means the employees position will be a blend of work performed both in-person and at an offsite location such as an employee's home office. This position will report to Superior, WI.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Prepares, monitors, revises and reports on assigned Company budgets and actual expenditures relative to those budgets, ensuring budget integrity for regulatory purposes and control of company resources
- Develops and maintains report formats, procedures, and revisions of existing systems
- Budget information is reviewed, analyzed and changes are recommended to ensure consistency with company policies and practices
- Budgeting systems and models are used and maintained to full capability
- Investigates and implements new technology solutions, systems and methods
- Consolidates and updates budgetary processes
- Provides training on budgeting and accounting expertise, training and troubleshooting capability with department staff and other company employees
- Ensures budgeting integrity is ensured for regulatory purposes and the control of business costs
- Ensures all report preparation meets operational and reporting requirements
- Administrative responsibilities support department requirements
REQUIRED EDUCATION:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent.
- If equivalent, must have taken related accounting courses.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
- Four years or more job related experience.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Requires excellent interpersonal skills to establish and maintain productive working relationships.
