Description

We are seeking highly motivated and talented individuals to join our C&DS 18-Month Rotation Program at Portland General Electric. This program is designed to provide recent graduates, early-career professionals or career changing individuals with a comprehensive exposure to various areas within the C&DS field. As a participant in this program, you will gain valuable hands-on experience, build a strong foundation in Customer and IT, and accelerate your career growth.

Key Responsibilities:

Rotation Assignments: You will have the opportunity to work on challenging projects in different areas of our Customer and IT department, including but not limited to:

Technology Center of Excellence - IT Service Desk 

In this rotation, you will be part of the team providing first contact IT Support for PGE workers - answering inquiries, resolving incidents, and fulfilling or routing requests for IT Services - as well as monitoring and responding to alerts in PGE's Enterprise Job Scheduling and Enterprise Monitoring systems. You will participate in the development of training and coaching materials, report and dashboard creation, development of a new hire program, and the delivery of other services and process improvements.

Power Digital Solutions - Power Ops

In this rotation, you will be part of the team that provides operational support and projects delivering new solutions to our Power Operations, Risk, and Balancing Authority businesses.   These critical businesses are responsible for forecasting the power needs of our customers and making decisions to buy, sell, or generate power to meet our customers' needs reliably, cost effectively, and working toward a carbon-free future.  You'll have the opportunity to work on automating manual tasks, researching and creating valuable business process-to-technology solution mapping, and developing tools to proactively identify errors and to ensure data & procedural integrity.  You'll collaborate with our PGE IT Infrastructure teams (servers, network, databases, etc.) as well as subject matter experts from our business teams.

DCIO Corporate Services - Enterprise Content Solutions

Responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining customized Power Apps solutions to streamline and enhance various business processes within our organization. Your primary focus will be on building intuitive and user-friendly applications that address the unique needs of different departments and teams. We also maintain and help the business with SharePoint online, Power BI and Power Automate.

Customer Experience and Brand Marketing

In this rotation, members will rotate through part of PGE's Customer Solutions organization. You will work with teams in Customer Experience, Market and Customer Insights and Brand Marketing. You'll be a part of the team developing, and executing, planned go-to-market strategies, defining areas of opportunity to improve the customer journey and using insights to make data-driven decisions. Members in this role will also collaborate closely with partners in sales, program development and management, and customer service.   

Customer Solutions

In this rotation, members will rotate through part of PGE's Customer Solutions organization. You will work with teams in Product Development, Program Implementation/Operations, and Account Management. You'll be part of the team evaluating new technologies (building and transportation), developing new programs and services, supporting management of customer's energy usage, and account management. Members in this role will also collaborate closely with partners in IT, legal, market insights, supply chain, customer service, billing, regulatory and policy.
