Reporting to the Manager, Supply Chain Services the Asset Investment Analyst will provide a wide range of analytical support services that will ensure technical soundness, reliability, safety and cost effectiveness of the utility and its Electrical Distribution Power System through the Supply Chain Services department. The Asset Investment Analyst is responsible for advanced analysis within the Inventory Planning and Replenishment portfolio of the Supply Chain Services group. Analysis of current materials management processes, measures and metrics, as well as advanced demand and supply forecasting, production capability and replenishment process creation and development can be expected. The successful candidate will be required to provide in-depth analysis and material management principles, and be required to make sustainable changes to improve services long term. In addition, management of the organization's long-term material requirements, and the management and maintenance of critical data cubes in SAP should be expected from the successful candidate. The incumbent will be responsible to shape the future of the materials management needs, including influencing and refining inventory and inventory planning processes and measures to assist with on-time fulfillment of materials, identifying opportunities to improve supply chain resiliency in an effort to reduce time to recovery (TTR) and generally ensuring the department provides a high level of service to the organization's various client groups. The candidate will be expected to liaise with various business units, including operations, portfolio planning, maintenance planning, IT partners and contractors to improve upon already existing materials management processes.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Plays significant role in the strategic development of Inventory Management and Demand Planning capabilities across Supply Chain Services by leading working groups across business units and management to drive business process improvements

Works with existing data supplier network to find and improve upon inefficiencies with the goal of improved service level to internal clients

Works with business units to understand short, medium and long-term material needs and develops processes and procedures to package information up and out to suppliers with a goal of long-term forecast views and supply chain stability.

Uses strong data analysis skillset to automate and enhance material requirements reviews with a goal of improving supply chain resiliency at Toronto Hydro

Works with Supply Chain Services department, Business Units and management to identify areas of improvement as they relate to Material Management. Provides a leadership role in various Business Process Management projects to improve the resiliency and agility of the Supply Chain department. Works collaboratively with IT partners, buyers, and vendors to implement improvement initiatives. Performs continuous improvement analysis of various material planning processes and champions the necessary system enhancements to identify and communicate impacts & improvements

Develops process maps and workflow visualizations to support strategic decision making

Assesses and manages risk and issues specific to the material supply chain, including remedy and mitigation activities

Facilitates and supports the preparation for the 2025-2029 CIR Filing by identifying and executing improvement opportunities from the capital planning and material forecast side of the business

Participates and collaborates with various departmental stakeholders as it relates to material sourcing events

Provides timely technical support and consultation, demonstrates effective project management and process efficiencies; reviews, develops and/or presents business proposals, plans, designs, processes, operational procedures and practices with all levels of management

Investigates and evaluates the application of new technologies and tools as they apply to Supply Chain Services and or Materials Management

Participates in implementing corporate goals/objectives
REQUIREMENTS:

Undergraduate degree preferably in Engineering, Computer Science, and/or related discipline

Five (5) years of data management, data mining, trend analysis, process optimization, analysis for business projects, identification of areas for improvement, strategy development.

Supply Chain Analysis experience preferred

Vendor relationship management

Knowledge of Data Science, and Process Mining is an asset

Knowledge of materials management processes from sourcing to inventory concepts to material issuance is preferred

Knowledge of demand planning concepts and principles, including long term horizon planning and production and/or capacity planning is preferred

Strong verbal,written communication skills, including presentation capability to clearly communicate and influence recommendations, proposals and strategies.

Knowledge of Alteryx or Tableau for data analysis is an asset; ability to manipulate data into easily digestible dashboards and forms is of high importance

Fluent in the application of information technology, such as general office software, SAP/ERP ECC 6.0, ARIBA and Business Intelligence/Business Warehouse
