HR Consultant Lead

Salary Grade: G05
Minimum  Midpoint  Maximum
$86,016 - $116,120 - $146,226

SUMMARY: 

Under general supervision, supports one or more business segments of the company. Provides strategic HR consultation to business unit VPs to help achieve operational excellence. Works with all levels of management and non-management employees to help meet company goals and objectives. Oversees and/or participates in the delivery of human resource programs including employment, staffing, job classification and compensation, benefits, employee relations, performance management, policy formulation and implementation. Designs and implements services, programs, and procedures to help achieve corporate goals.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Provides strategic HR consulting services to the leadership of business unit management
  • Consults with senior operations management, reflecting the highest service orientation, on staffing strategies, initiatives, and compensation, employee relations, and performance management
  • Provides direction and leadership in the management of human resources strategies, programs, and practices
  • Designs and implements programs, policies, and services that are responsive to the needs of the client group
  • Provides guidance to both management and non-management employees regarding human resource practices, policy interpretation, problem resolution, and compliance with state and federal law
  • Serves as initial point of advice, problem resolution, and facilitation in the areas of employee relations, performance management, and employee discipline; advises employees and management regarding employee relations policies, procedures, and documentation; researches, identifies, and analyzes specific employee relations concerns and makes appropriate recommendations to client management
  • Coordinates employment and Equal Opportunity Programs
  • Compliance and Diversity Manager to achieve diversity goals and maintain non-discriminatory employment practices
  • Assures that the development and execution of policies governing employment practices are in compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations
  • May act as lead on special projects and other miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned
