Duties:
Who we are We are the Capital Projects team within an arm of BC Hydro - Operations called Program and Contract Management (PCM). PCM Capital Projects delivers a range of Lines and Stations related projects. Our team is made up of a diverse group of approximately 50 professionals.
We carry a load of 500 projects in various delivery phases, worth a total of $900M. Our team currently delivers $180M per year with plans to grow.

- Deliver projects of various types (Distribution, Communication Infrastructure, Dam Safety & Stations) and sizes ($50k to $12M, short cycle to standard delivery) with a mix of consultant and staff project teams through design and construction phases.
- Provide Regional Field Coordination - As delegated by Stations Field Managers.
- Prepare, plan and deliver a Regional Work Plan supporting the broader PCM Stations Team.
- Support Regional Emergency Response - Duties may include management and procurement of contractors and equipment to support emergency response.
- Apply project management fundamentals and a structured approach to collaboratively plan, track and execute those projects using a range of established tools and processes.
- Engage appropriately and regularly with key internal experts in environmental risk management, indigenous relations, procurement, policy, design, engineering, properties, legal and others to ensure your projects complete successfully.
- Effectively represent BC Hydro to external stakeholders and in working with contractors as our projects execute.
- Select and adjust the delivery and/ or contracting model used within projects to ensure smooth delivery of work.
- Travel to site as and when needed to meet internal and external groups, and support design, permitting and field coordination/ construction.
