Description

With exciting business and culture transformation underway, PGE is looking for a change-agile Senior Workplace Planner to join our Workplace Strategy & Design team to strategically plan and execute on our project portfolio and power PGE's purpose of advancing society through a clean energy future.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manages workplace planning projects for the organization. Plans, recommends, and implements cost-effective strategies for use of facilities, ensures project outcomes align with organizational strategy for space optimization, space utilization, and workplace culture. Oversee and execute on all documentation and records management  for  facilities. Strategic planning and oversight of furniture inventory including  records management and documentation. Provide subject matter expertise, project management, and limited cost estimated in the areas of interior design, workplace design, and FF&E design and installation on construction projects.

  • Strategically sources, selects, and manages performance of vendors for construction activities, move and maintenance services, and furniture procurement with organizational objects for. In collaboration with Supply Chain, negotiates service-level agreements and performance metrics. May design, manage and maintain contract management system.

  • Proactively plans and manages execution of personnel moves and resources to optimize space utilization and support strategic objectives. Manages all aspects of projects including communication with key stakeholders and coordination with supporting organizations including IT. Suggests innovative or best-practice solutions.

  • Proactively identifies and manages projects to better optimize use of work facilities, including furniture, lighting, configuration changes and accommodation requests. May proactively develop and maintain community and corporate relationships to foster sustainable practices within facilities. May lead or develop energy-tracking or sustainability projects.

  • Serves as a companywide subject matter expert on workplace design and facility use. Analyzes trends and makes recommendations. Ensures work complies with all internal and external policies, regulations, and standards.

Education/Experience/Certifications/Competencies

  • Requires a bachelor's degree in design, architecture, project management, business or related field or equivalent experience.

  • Typically eight or more years in, workplace planning, architecture, interior architecture, interior design, facilities project management, or facilities generalist, depending on position.

  • NCIDQ, Fitwell, LEED, Facility Management Professional (FMP), Certified Facility Manager (CFM), Facilities Management Certificate (FMC), Project Management Professional (PMP) or related certification.

  • Advanced skills in project management

  • Advanced knowledge of laws and regulations related to area of discipline

  • Advanced knowledge of design and sustainability principles

  • Advanced skills in reading specifications, drawings and building codes

  • Advanced knowledge of budgeting

  • Intermediate skills in using department systems, including electronic work order systems

  • Expert skills in vendor management

  • Advanced customer focus skills.

  • Expert skills in problem solving

  • Advanced oral and written communication skills

  • Expert interpersonal skills

  • Advanced decision-making skills

  • Advanced organization and prioritization skills
