We anticipate a need for one or more Apprentice Lineman/Journeyman (5th Step or higher) to be located at either our Edina Service Center in Edina, MN or Chestnut Service Center in Minneapolis, MN or Maple Grove Service Center in Maple Grove, MN. This position will be posted for 10 Working Days from Januray 9, 2023 to Janurary 23, 2023.
For an Advanced Step Apprentiece, the wage rates are:
5th Step Apprentice Lineman: $40.26 hourly (80% of Journeyman Lineman Rate which is $50.33 hourly)
6th Step Apprentice Lineman: $42.78 hourly (85% of Journeyman Lineman Rate which is $50.33 hourly)
7th Step Apprentice Lineman: $45.30 hourly (90% of Journeyman Lineman Rate which is $50.33 hourly)
8th Step Apprentice Lineman: $47.81 hourly (95% of Journeyman Lineman Rate which is $50.33 hourly)
For a Journeyman Lineman the wage rate is $50.33 hourly.
Summary
In this position, you will work as part of a team that is responsible for construction maintenance and emergencyrepairs of all overhead and underground distribution and transmission systems.
Required
Must have a high school diploma or equivalent
Must possess a degree/diploma from an accepted Line School or a state issued Journeyman certificate for an Advanced step position.
Must possess a state issued Journeyman certificate and pass a company skills assessment for a Journeyman position.
Must have CDL license and be able to pass random drug tests
Must be totally committed to safety, quality work, and customer service
Must to able to attend and pass all extended training
Must be able and willing to respond to after hours and weekend call outs
Must be mentally competent and able to communicate and comprehend instructions, and build on previous experience
Must work well with others and exhibit teamwork attitude
Must exhibit a high awareness of safety, and compliance with all company safety rules
