VC Summer Nuclear Station is looking for a Mechanical Engineering intern to support component or system engineering group functions. The accepted candidate will work with department engineers as the interface between engineering and the maintenance, operations, licensing, and outage & planning departments. The individual will gain in-plant hands-on experience through support of activities such as system monitoring, troubleshooting, and testing. Intern projects will be assigned based on candidate experience and department needs at the time of internship. This will be a role within a mechanical systems group. The successful candidate will be mentored by a department mechanical engineer and assigned summer projects based on department needs.
- Experience with Microsoft Office products is desired.

- Solid engineering skills, commensurate with grade level.
- Good communication skills, technical writing skills, and computer skills.

Education Requirements
Must be enrolled in an ABET accredited engineering program at a four-year college or university (Preferred: Mechanical, Chemical or Civil)
Must have a minimum GPA of 3.0 (Preferred: 3.5 GPA)
Must have an anticipated graduation date between December 2024 and December 2025.
