How Will You Make an Impact?
The SCADA/ADMS (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition/Advanced Distribution Management System) team within Asset Management Innovation and Technology is hiring a System and Database Specialist ! In this position, you will provide system support for our water, gas, and electric utility operations. The work that you do is critical to maintaining the data integrity, reliability, compliance, and security of our SCADA and ADMS/OMS systems. Your technical leadership and curiosity will enable Operations to continuously improve processes, identify cost savings, solve operational challenges via technology implementation and utilization, and ensure 24/7 operational support.
The systems you will support are integrated with industrial instrumentation and other integrated software solutions comprising a complex set of hardware and software architectures. This includes, but is not limited to industrial level Systems Integration, Industrial/Operations System Implementations, Operations Technology Systems Administration, and Software Programming of Operations Solutions.
Some of the ways in which you will make an impact include:

Planning, designing, programming, documenting, and maintaining OSI Monarch EMS/SCADA system and OSI Electra ADMS system

Training System Operators, Engineering, and Field Support personnel in the use of applications associated with the EMS/ADMS/SCADA systems to ensure network models are up-to-date and the training simulator is functional

Developing custom EMS/SCADA displays that enhance the System Operator's situational awareness
Please note that a monthly, week-long on-call rotation will be a required aspect of this position, and the ability to work extended periods of time to provide operational readiness of the EMS/SCADA system.
Who You Are
-
Relevant and progressively responsible experience with Open Systems International (OSI) EMS/SCADA/ADMS systems

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering is valued
-
Knowledge of NERC CIP compliance is valued
-
Basic knowledge of C/C++, SQL, Bash Shell, Python, and Windows batch is valued
-
Skill in any of Windows Active Directory, Windows Server, Red Hat Enterprise Linux, Oracle Database, Tripwire Enterprise, Tripwire Log Center, and Cisco networking is valued

Possession of a valid, unrestricted driver's license is required
Highly desired knowledge/skills/expertise include:

Advanced knowledge in SCADA/EMS applications (power system modeling, state estimation, contingency analysis, power flow, short-term load forecast, load shed)

Advanced knowledge of ADMS applications (Outage Management System, VOLT/VAR optimization, Fault Location Isolation Service Restoration, Switch Order Management, Distribution Training Simulator)

Implementation of new ADMS/OMS systems

Oracle and SQL database administration
