This position is responsible for the support and maintenance of the SCADA system to ensure continuous operation, accurate data, and compliance with federal regulations. Provide oversight and coordination of the Gas Control department's compliance program and participate in Public Service Commission (PSC) inspections. Administer the department's SharePoint site by creating forms, lists, workflows, and permissions.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintain the SCADA system and displays by maintaining a patching schedule with IT&T and assisting with patching, maintaining system configurations, testing changes, performing screen additions, removals, and modifications, and provide SCADA support for alarm maintenance, data point maintenance, and data point changes. Lead SCADA upgrade and replacement projects.
- Ensure the department's compliance with PHMSA regulations concerning Control Room Management and prepare for and facilitate Public Service Commission (PSC) inspections. Ensure training is current for all qualified Gas Control Analysts and provide department quality assurance to ensure records are compliant with regulations.
- Administers Gas Control SharePoint site. Provide support to Gas Control staff for SharePoint functionality and process improvements.
- Backup other Gas Control Coordinator(s) as needed.
EDUCATION
Required: Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution; In lieu of Bachelor's degree, additional years related equivalent experience may be considered.
Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems or related field
EXPERIENCE
Required: Minimum of two years of technical system configuration/database administration in a utility or plant environment. SharePoint experience including system administration, InfoPath, and SharePoint Designer
Preferred: Previous experience as SCADA system administrator. Good working knowledge (hands-on experience) of VB.net. 3 years of experience in Gas Control
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:
Required: Must demonstrate developed skills in analysis and problem solving, successfully applying skills to situations of higher complexity in a logically and in a timely manner. Advanced proficiency in SharePoint and Microsoft Excel. Technical aptitude, forward-thinking abilities, creativity, initiative and resourcefulness. Must have demonstrated excellent attention to detail and strong written/oral communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred: Previous experience in leading people and projects is desirable. Knowledge of natural gas distribution operations. Working knowledge of the design and operational characteristics of natural gas distribution systems, including gate stations and regulator stations
