PowerSecure is seeking a skilled, reliable and independent Generator Field Service Technician for ongoing maintenance and repair of generator and power distribution equipment. The qualified Service Technician should have 4+ years of experience as a power generation Field Technician.

Generator Field Service Technician Responsibilities

Repair and service all makes and models of Generator Sets
-
Repair and troubleshoot engines such as Volvo, Cummins, Detroit Diesel, John Deere and MTU
-
Understand, troubleshoot and repair automatic transfer switches with little support
-
Inspect, repair, service and start-up load bank test requirements on equipment

Provide on call services as required

Deliver exceptional customer service
Job Requirements
-
4+ years of commercial/industrial experience performing preventive maintenance on 500+kW generators and engines
-
Operational and functional understanding of ATS including troubleshooting skills.

<25% overnight travel.
-
Willing to work on call and OT as required.

Able to pass a DOT physical, background check and drug screen.

Proficient written and verbal English skills.

Proficient using computers, including Microsoft Office and other software.

OEM Training, certification and/or EGSA certification a plus.
