Description
The Chief Operating Officer (COO) - Fosler Solar is responsible for implementing overall direction of Fosler Solar's guidelines set up by the COO - B&W. Plan, direct, and coordinate operational activities at the highest level of management with the help of department Vice Presidents to promote Fosler Solar's long-term global strategy. Direct Fosler Solar's cost saving and process improvement initiatives while driving revenue growth/business expansion.
- Posess leadership abilities in contract management, engineering, procurement, project management, finance and conflict resolution.
- Ensure the organization's financial/budget activities to fund operations, maximize investments, and increase efficiency for Fosler Solar in conjunction with the CEO.
- Analyze operations to evaluate performance of Fosler Solar's staff in meeting objectives to determine areas of potential cost reduction, program improvement, and policy change.
- Direct, plan, and implement policies, objectives, and activities for the organization to ensure continuing operations, to maximize returns on investments, and to increase productivity.
- Approve budgets, including those for funding and implementation of programs for the profitability and growth of a single or multiple departments within Fosler Solar.
- Collaborate with EHS in the development of proactive strategies and programs to continually improve safety metrics and champion a safe work environment.
- Examine and track operational investments that best meet Fosler Solar's business needs.
- Implement and monitor long-range plans, strategies, and policies & procedures.
- Represent Fosler Solar and promote vision, mission, core values, and objectives at internal/external business functions.
- Appoint/lead department Vice Presidents and assign or delegate responsibilities to them.
- Ensure collaboration with all Vice Presidents and department heads to complete construction projects and maintain profitability.
- Development and integration of Renewable energy projects.
- These duties are not meant to be all-inclusive and other duties may be assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or related field, or equivalent experience in lieu of a degree
- 15+ years of experience in operations management in renewable energy, solar preferred.
- Experience in the Renewables (Solar) sector preferred
- PMP certification preferred
- Lean Six Sigma certification preferred
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Complex critical thinking and problem solving abilities
