Eaton's Fluid Electrical Distribution division, a part of our Aerospace group, is currently seeking a Senior EHS Analyst to join our team. This position is based at our Beltsville, MD office.
Position Overview:
The Senior EHS Analyst is responsible for environmental, health, safety and security at the Beltsville, MD manufacturing facility. Responsibilities include supporting EHS activities at the site; performing risk assessments; compliance inspections; design and/or implementation of EHS solutions; internal reporting of EHS performance; communication of federal, state, and local regulatory requirements; closure of MESH and regulatory findings in a timely manner; completion of training for required EHS personnel; and creating a strong zero incident EHS culture that engages employees throughout the site in EHS teams and processes.

In this function you will:
- Supports EHS Manager and site for all OSHA compliance programs, including, but not limited to; PPE, Hearing Conservation, Respiratory Protection, Machine Guarding, Lock Out Tag Out, Confined Space, Industrial Powered Trucks, Contractor safety, and Hazard communication.
- Supports EHS Manager in development, maintenance, and achievement of goals in support of corporate and business group EHS strategic initiatives. Including the development of goals for site manager, leadership team, and front line supervisors to drive EHS culture, compliance, and result.
- Responsible to the tracking of appropriate leading and lagging indicators to track EHS performance.
- Supports EHS Manager with developing and conducting required training.
- Develop campaigns to promotes zero incident EHS culture throughout site.
- Coordinate the annual MESH self-assessment (evaluation of compliance for EHS country, state, and local regulations ) with EHS Manager and MESH element champions.
- Supports efforts for third party recognition for programs that establish the site and Eaton's EHS program as world class.
- Responsible for using established EHS data processes such as MESH Prism to manage data.
- Supports identification, design, implementation of improved safety or environmental measures for work stations, equipment, or other operations in support of continuous improvement.
- Supports and oversees EHS related capital projects through coordination and review of cost proposals, engineering designs for compliance with regulations, and management of contractors.
- Supports work station risk assessments, ergonomic assessments, and job safety analysis.
- Work with the EHS Manager and Department Managers to ensure that all plant activities are in compliance with safety, health and environmental rules and regulations.
Qualifications
Required (Basic) Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
- Must have minimum 2 years of EHS related experience.
- Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future.
- This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.
- No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of Beltsville, MD will be considered. Active Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.
Perferred Qualifications:
- 2 years of manufacturing experience.
- Associate Safety Professional (ASP) or Graduate Safety Professional (GSP)
- Experience with environmental permitting and regulatory compliance
- Comprehension of Eaton, industry, state, and country EHS&S requirements.
- Understanding of ISO 14001 standards and internal auditor
- Lean Fundamentals Understanding.
