Summary
This position is located in the Systems Administration organization (JNPS) of the Platform Services (JNP) organization of Enterprise Technology Operations Services (JN), Information Technology (J), Bonneville Power Administration (BPA).
The purpose of this position is to serve as an IT specialist performing duties associated with one or more of the IT specialty areas.
Responsibilities
As an IT Specialist (System Administration/Data Management), you will:
- Perform a variety of work involving planning, development, implementation, and administration of systems for the acquisition, storage, and retrieval of data.
- Serve as a system expert in the area of data management and data architecture.
- Provide guidance for the application of data modeling practices.
- Lead teams to develop and implement new data management schema.
- Perform a variety of work involving planning and coordinating the installation, testing, operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of hardware and software systems.
- Plan and conduct simulations to determine capacity requirements and recommend hardware/software replacements or upgrades.
- Generate and run simulation models for future applications.
- Exercise overall responsibility for the continuing functionality of all servers in the enterprise LAN.
