Description
We're looking to hire an industrial engineer with a focus on discreet event simulation models. This role works closely with our clients to deliver scheduling and debottlenecking solutions for pharmaceutical manufacturing operations.
Responsibilities
- Lead RTMS projects
- Presentation of results and ability to make recommendations for our clients
- Ability to guide clients to successful implementations
- Using in-house discrete event simulation software to model complex manufacturing processes
- Use of scheduling software to produce customized schedules
- Debottlenecking and capacity engineering of manufacturing systems
- Integrate enterprise data sources into the software
- Provide first line client support for the models and software
- Management of project and client expectations
- Developing algorithms for design of experiment, display of data, optimization methods, efficiency methods, and scheduling methods
- Presentation of results and ability to make recommendations for our clients
- Independently work on a timeline with deliverables
- Assisting in debugging the software and developing product features and enhancements
Additional Information
Up to 15% domestic and international travel may be required.
Requirements
- Some experience in mathematical modeling
- Some experience in scripting languages (e.g. VBA, python, Matlab, R)
- Familiarity with SQL is preferred
- Client-management skills
- Ability to independently develop software solutions for novel problems
A degree with a strong technical focus
Minimum of 5 years of related experience required
Background in biotech or pharma a plus
