Description

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for immediate emergency response to issues related to measurement, regulation, control valve and communication equipment.
  • Responsible for installation, calibration and maintenance of meters, regulators and related electronic equipment at company owned city gate and district stations.
  • Responsible for installation, calibration and maintenance of meters, regulators and related electronic equipment at Industrial and large commercial M&R facilities.
  • Responsible for maintenance of cathodic protection equipment, including rectifiers and test stations.
  • Responsible for creation and maintenance of records related to above equipment and facilities as required by pertinent codes, laws, statutes and regulations.
  • Responsible for maintenance and filling of Odorant injection equipment and periodic sampling devices.
  • Responsible for Line Locating functions and High Priority Facility oversight during excavations.
  • Responsible for Patrolling and performing or overseeing periodic Leak Survey functions.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned by Director, Measurement and Compliance and/or Gas Operations Managers.

SUPERVISION

Minimal without day to day oversight

RELATIONSHIPS

Internal:         This position works with all levels of the Company.   The incumbent acts under the guidance of the Director, Measurement and Compliance.

External:       This position works with customers and other outside vendors and suppliers.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

High School Diploma or GED equivalency required

Related Experience:

Three to five years of natural gas measurement experience is preferred.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:         

  • Detailed oriented and very organized.   High level of initiative with the ability to work unsupervised.
  • Proficient computer skills (i.e. calibration software, word processing and spreadsheet).
  • Strong time management skill, interpersonal and networking skills.
  • Excellent verbal, written skills and public speaking skills
  • Ability to work calmly under extreme pressure.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Operation and maintenance of Digital Gauges and Differential Meter Testing equipment
  • Operation and maintenance of electronic pressure and temperature calibration equipment.
  • Operation and maintenance of odorant injection and sampling equipment.
  • Operation and maintenance of large volume and Ultrasonic gas meters.
  • Operation and maintenance of SCADA communication equipment.
  • Operations and maintenance of pneumatic and pilot operated control valves.
  • Operation and maintenance of voltage / current meters and various other electronic test instruments.
  • Operation and maintenance of rectifiers and cathodic protection equipment.
  • Duties assigned from agreements with neighboring distribution utilities.
  • Use of personal computer and application of required software.
  • Must have a valid driver's license.
  • Must live within one hours drive of CUC Pensacola Gate station at Fannie Rd., Century, FL.
