Job Description
Become a Vehicle Fleet Management Specialist at Southern California Edison (SCE) and build a better tomorrow. In this job, you will coordinate purchases and order specifications for vehicles, supplier pricing, supplier contracts, delivery schedules, vehicle receiving, invoice reconciliation, issue resolution, and vehicle master data collection for SCE's fleet of ~6,100 units. The position also coordinates rental contracts and client rental requests, dispatch, pickup, invoicing, issue resolution, and reporting for SCE's ~$35 M in annual equipment rental spend. The Specialist will also be required to complete the Incident Command Structure (ICS) Training and may be rostered to Incident Management Team (IMT) deployments. This duty ensures Transportation Services Department (TSD) Rentals 24/7 to react and deploy equipment for emergent business needs.

A day in the life - Get ready to think big, work smart and shine bright!
- Coordinate construction rentals for Transmission & Distribution, San Onofre, Hydro, Information Technology, etc... operating units.
- Resolve rental invoice issues with Suppliers, Accounts Payable, Clerks, Users, etc...
- Handle required SAP documents, preq's, change orders, notifications, Services Entry Sheets (SES), etc... for new vehicle requests and rental requests.
- Generate client reports using SAP, Excel, Access, etc...
- Provide customer service to clients and act as a communication liaison between SCE clients and the suppliers.
- Manage vehicle deliveries including delivery date forecasting, invoice to lease establishment, master data, garage deliveries, IT and Radio equipment installation, etc.
- This position will eventually perform off-hour phone Duty for a week's duration once a month.
Qualifications
The essentials
- Three (3) or more years of experience with project administration, procurement, materials management, construction management, or equipment rentals.
- Two (2) or more years of experience with Microsoft Excel, creating and editing complex reports, and performing advanced functions such as VLOOKUP's, pivot tables, filtering/sorting, charts/ graphs, and presentations.
- One (1) or more years of experience with vehicle/equipment, specifically related to either Fleet, Construction, or Utility industry vehicles.
The preferred
- Two (2)or more years of experience in fleet operations, construction operations or rental operations.
- Experience working with Microsoft Access.
- Experience using SAP, Oracle or similar Enterprise Resource Management (ERP) systems.
- Knowledge of line construction equipment.
- Familiarity with OSHA and ANSI rules and standards to vehicles, forklifts, and construction equipment.
- Knowledge of Federal and California vehicle code experience
