Primary Purpose:

Schedules and coordinates project management activities from Segments 1-3 and Technical Team. Educates customers on the project management process. Reviews plans, service orders, work orders and cost report data to ensure job package is complete. Prepares cost letters and contracts. Interfaces with a variety of company departments, governmental agencies, developers, contractors, and customers. This role may support more than 100 ongoing projects a year.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for data management of all assigned projects within Segments 1-3 and Technical Team. This includes management of data and data quality assurance within CISCO, Procore, SAP, P6, ICUE and any other related project management systems. Performs secondary review of accuracy of baseline revenue allowances for billing accounts. Monitors project information such as, costs, accounting information, addresses, and status.
  • Provides secondary review and analysis of gas service orders to determine if Excess Flow Valve (EFV) is applicable. Analyzes and interprets load and meter information from service work or work orders to create/modify an account in CISCO and set appropriate billing rates. Specifies labor, materials, and equipment as denoted in sketches.
  • Administer and execute customer projects consistent with the Project Management Manual (PMM) and applicable tariffs in partnership with Segment 1-3 Planners, Technical Team, and Field Construction Advisors.
  • Coordinate projects with internal stakeholders and other Construction Department requests. Assists in the development and implementation of processes, policies and procedures that will enhance workflow between departments, relating to the successful installation, removal, or modification of distribution projects. Coordinates and attends joint meets in the field with project managers, project planners, customers and/or various construction personnel.
  • Oversees document control; including conflict checks as well as contracts, drawings, maps, and customer communication consistent with SDG&E Information Retention Policies and the Project Management Manual. Initiate customer contracts for new installations, removals, conversions, relocations, and maintenance of customer records. Prepares correspondence and monitors EFV installation.
  • Performs other duties as assigned (no more than 5% of duties).

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Highschool Diploma or equivalent required
  • 2-3 years related experience in customer service, project coordination and document control.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Substantive work experience in a role supporting and applying a defined project management methodology is preferred.
  • Bachelor's Degree

Skills and Abilities

  • Must have a working knowledge of supporting projects that are governed by tariffs, policies, and standards.
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, SAP, CISCO, GIS, and ability to read maps is highly desired.
