Alamon, Inc. is a 45-year-old Employee-Owned contracting firm based in Kalispell, MT. As Alamon continues to grow in the Communications and Utility industries, we are actively seeking qualified candidates for the Utility Division's Operations Manager position for the Western US.
Who should apply: Management professionals with experience in the Field Operations of the electric utility industry and/or those with Management experience with one or more of the following: Utility Pole Inspection and Treatment Programs, Electric Utility/OSP Communications Construction, Vegetation Management Programs, Utility Asset Inventory, and Management.
Utility Operations Manager - Western US - Specific Responsibilities:
- Provide guidance and leadership to the Field Supervisors and field teams for project safety, quality, on-time delivery, profitability, and customer satisfaction results.
- Manage and coordinate fiscal reviews and assessments of all Utility West projects.
- Accountable and responsible for the success of all Utility West client accounts.
- Collaborate with the Business Development Manager to increase clientele and service offerings, assist with evaluating bid / no-bid opportunities, and compiling bid responses.
- Oversee the Divisional recruiting and hiring efforts, while directing the training/development programs of new and existing employees.
- Oversee the Field Supervisors' planning, logistics, job materials, and employee deployments for all assigned projects.
- Effectively and professionally communicate with all clients, staff, and Alamon management, both written and verbally.
- Experience in large scale project planning, implementation, and management and the successful fiscal management thereof. (Preferred experience)
- A strong history of managing multiple work teams and multiple clients simultaneously. (Preferred experience)
- Team orientated leader with strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and commitment to producing high quality work product, and ability to multi-task under tight timeframes. (Preferred experience)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word); working knowledge of ESRI based GIS systems. (Preferred experience)
Further General Requirements:
- Must have a valid driver's license and an acceptable Motor Vehicle Record
- Must be able to pass a drug test
- Must pass a background check
