Summary
The Program Manager Sr. is responsible for the research, planning, design, and review of Energy Efficiency programs. Additionally, the incumbent will develop and maintain complex spreadsheets and forecasts in support of the Energy Efficiency portfolio. Activities include the development and design of standard offer and market transformation programs, monitoring of industry trends, market research, geographic analysis and mapping, forecasting, and strategic planning. Incumbent must exhibit digital leadership skills that embrace disruption, think holistically, inspire and be culturally connected.
Key Roles & Responsibilities Directly or through others, the incumbent:
- Performs all essential aspects and functions of the job including any other specific job requirements.
- Develops, implements, and recommends changes to energy efficiency program offerings that will enable the Company to meet its energy efficiency goals.
- Researches and recommends new efficient technologies for inclusion in the Energy Efficiency portfolio.
- Works closely with offshore software development team ensure Energy Efficiency software meets departmental needs.
- Develops and maintains complex spreadsheets used to calculate energy savings, incentive payments, and forecast portfolio results.
- Develops, acquires, and consolidates data from internal and external data sources used for research, design, and program development.
- Develops market assessments and baseline studies to identify new program opportunities, and validate existing program structures.
- Maintains a positive Company image with trade organizations, constituency groups and regulatory organizations.
- Ensures that all Company energy efficiency program offerings comply with the Company's Code of Conduct and Public Utility Commission Requirements
- Track project pipeline, financial estimates and energy estimates for potential programs to determine the best methods to improve forecast accuracy, adjust forecasting models, and ensuring EE performance meets and exceeds statutory goals.
- Conduct other EE and energy related research and analysis of new and emerging measures and technologies as appropriate for the Texas market.
Education, Experience, & Skill Requirements
Minimum Education
- Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent relevant work experience
Minimum Experience
- Five years related energy efficiency, data management, market research, or analysis experience
Minimum Skill
- Advanced knowledge of energy efficiency standards, rules, programs, and methodologies
- Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including calculations, functions, and pivot tables
- Advanced verbal and written communication skills
- Proven ability to work with multiple stakeholders, both internal to Oncor and external to the Company
- Proven ability to develop analysis and project plans and oversee their implementation
Preferred Education, Experience, and Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Math, Market Research, or Finance
- Market assessment and / or energy efficiency program development skills
- Strong knowledge of efficient technologies and markets
Measures of Success
- Maintain the Energy Efficiency Program Management software to support operational efficiency
- Maintain program cost effectiveness as measured in dollars per kW saved. Seek new program delivery methods to lower costs, while delivering high quality programs through a variety of implementers
- Minimize disputes with program participants
- Develop and maintain Energy Efficiency portfolio forecasts to achieve Company energy efficiency goals
