Job Description
NOTE: This single vacancy is posted in more than one grade level and will be filled based on commensurate education and/or relevant experience. It is written at the lower grade level and expectations increase with the higher grade level
Oversee operations and maintenance of AEP OnSite Partners' growing energy asset portfolio of distributed energy asset projects. Monitor asset performance, troubleshoot equipment issues, and interface with / dispatch contractors to perform preventive and corrective maintenance. Develop relationships and communicate effectively with all stakeholders in the asset life cycle. Interface internally with Project Management and Developers to onboard new projects and collaborate with Asset Management to accurately invoice customers and resolve customer issues or inquiries.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS are listed below:
1. Assist with monitoring asset performance, troubleshooting equipment issues, interfacing with contractors to resolve faults or underperformance under direction of leadership or more experienced operations analysts.
2. Develop working relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Foster teamwork and seek customer / contractor satisfaction.
3. Develop proficiency communicating status updates on asset performance.
4. Provide clear and concise written and oral reports and other communication.
5. Support and hold employees and contractors accountable for the AEP System Safety Process, ensuring a safe working environment focused on Zero Harm.
***This position can work from San Diego, CA, Chicago, IL or Columbus, OH***
6. Travel to project sites to support project operations and maintenance, assist in troubleshooting equipment issues, inspect work, or interface with contractors.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering or engineering related field of study; or Associate's degree in a related discipline with 2 years of qualified experience. Qualified experience includes field experiences in operations or maintenance of electric power generation systems, project engineering, project management in a related business, or other similar experience.
Experience: In addition to any experience listed above, 3 years in Operations Mgr Assc role or qualified experience listed above is required;
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
1. Intermittent travel required, both locally and nationally.
2. Valid driver's license required.

Experience: In addition to any experience listed above, 5 years total in OnSite Partners Operations Mgr and/or Associate role or qualified experience listed above is required;
