As the Associate Claims Coordinator, you will receive and respond to customer inquiries through various channels (including, phone, email or on-line) about filing claims against the company or requesting updates on pending claims for bodily injury, property damage, and auto bodily injury. You will also complete administrative functions and data entry.
Specifically, you'll have the opportunity to:
- Answer large volume of incoming telephone calls on an ACD system.
- Set up claims in a database.
- Make telephone calls or transfers telephone calls to the proper person in the Claims department.
- Retrieve mail and distributes within the department.
- Document each check received by the department.
- File the claim file folders.
- Scan and attach documents in Riskmaster.
- Assist team members as needed and completes other duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications
- Requires a high school education or equivalent
- Requires a minimum of one year of experience providing customer support or service. At least one year of experience with mainframe and/or personal computer software.
Preferred
- Experience in office administration
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite
