Position Description
The primary responsibility of an IT Analyst in Cybersecurity Engineering is to assist with routine assignments in support of corporate IT security initiatives and risk management solutions. Works within IT department standardized procedures and practices to apply conceptual and general cyber security knowledge to work activities. Develops and demonstrates logical thinking skills and analytical problem solving skills. Demonstrates verbal and written communication skills. Receives guidance and direction related to specific work assignments. May assist in the creation, implementation, and/or administration of technical security solutions and controls. Develops plans, processes, procedures, and standards in coordination with appropriate members of the team to address security requirements. Researches security practices and develops subject matter knowledge. Participates in risk assessment and risk management process. Provides support to security training and awareness, communication, and incident response programs.

This position is for a Summer Internship at our headquarters located slightly west of Charleston in the city of Moncks Corner, South Carolina. This internship begins May 17, 2021. Candidate will work 40 hours per week for a period of 10-12 weeks.

- good interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills needed to work effectively with management, clients, team members, and various IT technical personnel
- general programming knowledge is desired and/or an understanding of desktop and network operating systems, desktop hardware and peripherals is desired
- Have completed their first year at a 4-year college.
- Be pursuing a degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering (ABET accredited schools are preferred). Other Computer Science related degrees and internship experience will be considered.
- Successfully undergo pre-employment physical and drug screen.
