The Pricing Analyst will be responsible for accurate costing of retail electricity for commercial and industrial clients, including historical usage data collection and review, load profile analysis, critical cost component review and cost validation.
While working as part of a team, the incumbent has a high degree of accountability and responsibility for strategic energy consumption data review to provide recommendations for the products and services that best fit individual customers, along with the associated value proposition.
He/She has a deep understanding of US energy market fundamentals and can critically evaluate, and model risk associated with costing various retail energy components, including new ones proposed or changed.

Primary Responsibilities
- Perform daily transaction costing and structuring of retail electricity products.
- Support all retail sales channels by delivery of timely and accurate transaction costs.
- Review data, consumption pattern and usage exceptions and accurately assess risk and cost impact.
- Monitor current market conditions to seek opportunities to maximize margins and minimize retail risk.
- Provide recommendations on best fitting product structures on individual customer basis.
- Assist in the development of analyses and models based on complex energy market indicates and cost components.
- Forensically analyze cost discrepancies based on market feedback.
- Maintain and analyze forward pricing curves.
- Interact with Energy Supply, Load Forecasting, Operations, Sales, Risk and Energy Accounting on pricing, billing, position reporting, contracts, hedging and new product development.
- Assist in preparing, presenting and reporting on findings, observations and recommendations.
- Contribute creative ideas to improve efficiency.
Basic Qualifications
1. Bachelor's Degree in quantitative field (Economics, Finance, Mathematics or similar) or demonstrated experience and mathematical aptitude.
2. Minimum of 3 years in analytical position, preferably within the energy industry and with prior exposure to retail electricity.
3. Proficient in Excel and Access computer applications w/ technical orientation.
