JOB OVERVIEW

Ontario Power Generation (OPG) is seeking a results driven professional to join our Nuclear Waste Management, Business Support team in the role of Management & Professional Trainee based out of our Kincardine, ON location.

Reporting to the Manager of Business Support, the Management & Professional Trainee will support various departments within Nuclear Waste Management Division including operations and maintenance, transportation, and other business support functions.    

This is an exciting opportunity to work in an environment where you will contribute to Ontario Power Generation's continued growth and success in generating safe, clean, reliable low-cost power in a sustainable manner.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Provide general assistance and business support across the division
  • Assist with improvement initiatives for the respective departments and/or division
  • Coordinate and collaborate with interfacing departments on initiatives and general support

EDUCATION

  • 4 year University degree

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Demonstrated effective ability to manage multiple priorities;
  • Highly collaborative and an effective team player;
  • Results oriented with high integrity.
  • Advanced MS Office
  • Solid business acumen and ability to navigate organization and support systems to deliver results, and work in a cross-functional environment;  
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills; ability to influence and communicate effectively;  
  • Strong interpersonal skills, knowledge and experience in building, shaping and maintaining productive relationships and strong partnerships across business units
