Description
AES Southland includes AES Alamitos, AES Huntington Beach and AES Redondo Beach. The three stations have five natural gas fired Boiler Drum units and two Super-Critical Once Thru Boiler Units.
Successful candidates will possess the following:
- Responsible for the safe and efficient operation of a power plant
- Perform the duties of an Outside Operator - Qualifying in a timely manner, making rounds, taking readings, hanging LOTO's, performing PMs, water chemistry, housekeeping, etc.
- 5 years previous power plant Operations experience required
- Water Chemistry experience is required
- Strong technical and troubleshooting knowledge required
- Super-Critical Once Thru Experience is a plus
- Must be able to work independently with little or no supervision
- Must be able to Work in a Team environment
- Work Rotating 12 hr. shifts and /or irregular hours as needed.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills are essential
- Strong belief in AES Culture and Values
- Computer proficiency required
- Must currently be eligible to work in the U.S.A.
