This position is located in the Real Property Field Services (TERR) Engineering and Technical Services (TE), Transmission Services (T), Bonneville Power Administration (BPA).
A successful candidate in this position will provide real estate services for both maintenance and construction of the BPA Transmission System; planning and completing complex real estate transactions and property management activities as well as providing appraisal support, within delegated authority.
Responsibilities
As a Realty Specialist, you will:
- Provide real estate services to acquire, manage, and dispose of real property rights and assets for both maintenance and construction of the BPA Transmission System and the Fish and Wildlife Program.
- Plan, develop, implement, interpret and administer property management and disposal for a wide range of routine and complex real property cases, which may require significant departures from established realty practices and procedures and may include cases that have been identified as being politically sensitive.
- Provide a full range of real estate support in providing extensive courthouse real estate research including ownership, land rights, property descriptions, zoning, land use planning; Ensure real estate related agreements and their conditions are kept by landowners; Coordinates with BPA security and regional staff; Answer real estate questions from the public including landowners, developers, public agencies, and utility companies regarding proposed uses of BPA's right-of-ways.
- Provide primary Real Property Services support for BPA's Tribal Affairs coordinating with various agencies including but not limited to Bureau of Indian Affairs, tribal governments and their associated realty departments.
- Provide primary Real Property Services support for BPA's Wireless Program coordinating with members of the Wireless Team located in various organizations throughout BPA including Engineering Technical Services, Marketing and Sales, Transmission Field Services, and Legal Services.
Travel Required
50% or less - Required to travel by air, land and water to review real estate transactions.
