- Manage long term energy resource planning processes and studies, technical assessments, and policy development
- Lead projects to align distributed energy resource (DER) resource valuation, societal benefits, and cost-effectiveness analyses with the SCE's IRP process
- Direct and conduct analyses and research on efficient electrification and other decarbonization technologies (e.g. hydrogen, biomethane, etc.), markets, performance trends, and uses/interactions with the electric sector
- Lead projects and collaborate with SCE departments to align integrated planning scenarios, resource valuation structures, and development of resource use cases to support grid reliability and resiliency
Qualifications
The essentials
- BA/BS degree in economics, engineering, physical sciences or other quantitative subject area
- Ten years of experience with economic, statistical, engineering or financial analysis and modeling
- Five years of relevant experience performing complex energy system and policy analysis and modeling
- Five years of project management experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
The preferred
- Graduate degree in engineering, economics, physical sciences, energy management, or public policy
- Effective interpersonal skills, as well as excellent oral and written communication skills
- Experience with economy-wide decarbonization analysis
- Experience in technical writing including writing testimony in utility regulatory proceedings
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
