Description
We currently have great job opportunities for experienced Heavy Equipment Mechanics at our Centralia, WA mine. Under the supervision of the Maintenance Supervisor, in the Mine Maintenance Department, a Heavy Equipment Mechanic safely trouble shoots and repairs major rolling stock equipment, both mechanical and electrical systems.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Inspect, trouble shoot and perform preventive and corrective maintenance repairs on major rolling stock equipment, with regards to mechanical, hydraulic and electrical systems.
- Primary Maintenance Responsibility
- Terex MT4400 electric trucks.
- Hitachi 3500 loader;
- Cat wheel-loaders of various size;
- Cat 777 mechanical haul trucks;
- Cat D11R, D10R, D8R, D7R dozers
- Komatsu D375, D475 dozers
- Cat 657E Scraper
- Cat 16H Motor Grader
- Cat 323F Excavator
- WA900 Komatsu loader
- Secondary Maintenance Responsibility
- Light duty pickup, forklifts and Class 8 service trucks.
- Ability to problem solve independently
- Regularly work 8-hour nights, days or swing shift.
- Knowledge in the following areas would be beneficial: air conditioning and welding
QUALIFICATIONS:
(Equivalent education and/or experience may be substituted for qualifications.)
NEED TO HAVE:
- Ability to communicate clearly
- Ability to hear clearly (corrected or uncorrected)
- Must possess good visual acuity (corrected or uncorrected)
- Ability to understand and follow mine safety and mine production policies and procedures
- Must be able to consistently work in safe manner
- Regularly climb ladders
- Occasional lifting of 30-40 lbs
- Must be able to attend job reliably
- Successful applicants should have 5-7 years' experience on heavy industrial equipment.
- Ability to work in all types of weather
- Available to work shift work.
