Job Summary: (includes but is not limited to the following; other duties may be assigned):
As a member of the Calpine Energy Solutions Customer Care Department, Billing Analysts are responsible for ensuring accurate and timely Service Level Reporting through confirming contract term application and customer usage. Billing Analysts are responsible for understanding and explaining how contract terminology translates into the volumes and costs reflected on customers' service level reporting; making themselves an essential part of Customer Care Department.
Job Responsibilities:
Market Demands & Service Level Reporting (70%)
o Organize and effectively meet market demands to successfully accomplish creation, validation, and distribution of monthly Service Level Reports
o Complete project preparation and mass validation of data elements at the beginning of each reporting run
o Review Service Level Reports against customer contracts and other reporting data elements to validate accuracy
o Complete and distribute reporting to customers based on project deadlines
o Identify and troubleshoot discrepancies and collaborate with internal and external departments as applicable to validate and analyze data and confirm that the data flows through accurately within the reporting processes
o Work with team to complete report review and approval process
o Generate and/or review 26 reports per day (average)
o Work with Development team to create automation and help determine correct calculations within Service Level Reports
Customer Service Communication (5%)
o Respond to all action item emails within 30 minutes; maintaining effective working external and internal relationships
o Provide a high level of customer service using strong written and verbal communication when communicating details pertaining to pricing calculations
o Collaborate daily with reporting team and Account Analysts to promptly respond to customer requests as needed
Business Knowledge (15%)
o Demonstrate the ability to work independently and maintain flexibility to adapt well to change
o Maintain effective working relationships with other organizations in the company
o Gain an understanding of how the tasks at hand have a broader impact to the business
Organizational Understanding (10%)
o Be proficient in understanding and articulating the nuances of each region and impact to reporting
o Provide training to new and developing employees
o Practice high ethical standards; be accountable for such things as time, communication, statistics, organizational understanding and business knowledge
Requirements
- Education Level - College
- Work Experience - 3 years (or combination of college education and work experience)
- Data Entry Skills
- Intermediate to Advance Level Excel Skills
- Proficient in organizing outlook settings
- Proficient with keyboard shortcuts
