Position Summary
Job Responsibilities
- Obtains joint-pole agreements.
- Estimates labor and material costs.
- Performs customer contact, project coordination, billing, and contract preparation in connection with non-subdivision residential services.
- Prepares, under supervision, cost estimates and construction plans of a less difficult nature than work performed by a Senior Engineering Estimator.
- Makes field sketches and prepares layouts for construction of additions or improvements to electric or gas systems of such a nature that the plans and methods are embodied in existing standards, specifications, rules, and regulations.
- Performs such other work as required to prepare the estimate in final form.
- Initiates right-of-way procedures, licenses, permits, etc.
Qualifications
Minimum:
- High School or GED-General Educational Development-GED Diploma
- Ability to work in a field environment
- Willingness to work in an office environment
- Knowledge of relevant federal, state, and local environmental regulations and laws - for example land acquisitions, endangered and protected species - as needed to perform at the job level
- Knowledge of relevant federal, state, and local regulations and laws - for example FERC, NERC, CAISO, CPUC - as needed to perform at the job level
