Position Description:
The Customer Planning Representative is Responsible for handling all customer inquiries, requests, complaints, etc. involving the establishment and maintenance of electric service.
Duties include (but not limited to):
- Determine prepare and/or perform-demand, load factor, projected revenue, proper metering equipment, rate application, service deposits, agreements for electric and gas extensions, application of tariffs, rules and regulations codes and standards, secure easements, communicate company programs, service inspections.
- Apply technical expertise and company construction standards, design and application standards, procedures and guides, plan, design, prepare sketches, cost estimates and necessary orders for the construction and maintenance of all electric gas transmission and distribution facilities.
- Act as coordinator for work orders and be responsible for coordinating activities in order to provide service to the customer in a timely manner.
- The position is required to participate in Electric Restoration ooperations.
Education and Qualifications (required):
- Associate of Science (AS) or Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree in Electrical, Mechanical or Engineering Science.
- Two years related experience
- Must have a valid Driver's License with a satisfactory driving record
- Employee selected will be expected to work overtime in accordance with departmental requirements.
Desired:
- Strong customer relations skills
- Knowledge of Rules and Regulations for Electric Service, Design and Application Standards, National Electric Code, and electric line construction practices.
- Knowledge of electric tariff and rate schedules
- Knowledge of Computer Aided Design (AutoCAD)
