Doosan GridTech has an outstanding career opportunity for a Sales and Business Development Director. Use your knowledge of distributed energy resources and the utility market landscape to deploy real-world solutions to customers who are incorporating distributed energy resources into the grid. The Sales and Business Development Director position is a key driver in developing utility customer relationships and penetrating fast-growing IPP markets to support our company growth in a high potential clean energy economy. The position reports to the Head of Sales and Business Development.

Required

  • Expertise in building a qualified sales pipeline and managing customer development
  • Demonstrated experience with navigating complex sales cycles and negotiations in closing large contracts
  • Demonstrated understanding of distributed energy resources (DER's) and battery storage
  • Knowledge and experience of power industry controls SW including DER Management System
  • Consultative and client-focused demeanor
  • Commitment to excellence and high standards
  • Excellent analytical, verbal and written communication skills
  • Self-motivated, ability to think strategically while working simultaneously with highly detailed information a daily basis
  • Professional composure, credibility and judgement necessary to gain the respect and confidence of all stakeholders and customers

Desired

  • Previous experience with Energy Storage and relevant industry
  • Support corporate strategy and develop go-to-market strategy for fast growing market
  • Grow thought leadership position of Doosan GridTech within renewable energy industry
  • Understanding of renewable energy industry channels and channels that serve this market

Responsibilities

  • Generate, cultivate, and expand opportunities for long-term growth from customers, markets, and partners
  • Establish key partnerships and alliances to identify and evaluate potential sales targets
  • Develop key accounts and build relationship with customers
  • Generate and advance leads to ultimately close sales with utilities and, IPP/developers
  • Collaborate with proposal team to respond to RFP that is responsive to customer and deliver winning proposal
  • Manage highly collaborative communication and customer expectations with internal Marketing, proposal team, and all key delivery stakeholders to minimize company risk and ensure quality delivery of services
  • Represent company interests at all industry conferences, trade shows, and other related sales activities

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in renewable industry
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Operations and Supply Chain, Engineering or other related field
  • Experience working with cross functional teams in closing complex sales cycles
