Job Description
SaskEnergy is seeking applicants who are interested in becoming fully qualified Millwrights. The District Mechanic Operator (Millwright) Apprentice, under the guidance of a qualified Journeyperson Millwright, performs duties as trained from the trainee level to the qualified working level in plant, pipeline and storage operations and maintenance in accordance with standards, specifications and accepted industry practices, including implementing sound decisions in emergency situations.
Qualified applicants will possess:
- Grade 12 or equivalent.
- Entrance requirements in accordance with the Provincial Apprenticeship and Trades Certification Standards for the Journeyperson Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) Certificate.
- Valid Class 5 driver's license.
- Successful completion of SaskEnergy Pre-qualifying Assessment. Note - only those candidates short-listed will have the opportunity to complete the assessment.
Additional Information
- Travel, including overnight stays away from bid headquarters is required on occasion.
- This job requires significant travel time.
- This job is safety sensitive, and as such, is subject to the provisions of the Drug And Alcohol Policy (Pre-Employment or Pre-Placement for Safety Sensitive Positions).
