Qualifications
Candidates MUST have successfully completed a lineman training program, possess a High School diploma or equivalent, have or be able to obtain a valid Class A Commercial Driver's License and be willing to meet the 25 mile domicile requirement.
Candidates who meet minimum qualifications will be required to pass the appropriate State/Federal driver's licensing requirements, medical testing and drug screening and the Construction and Skilled Trades (CAST) test. Preparation resources for the CAST test are available at Ameren.com/careers.
Calculators are now provided to all candidates for use on the math components of the Construction and Skilled Trades Test (CAST).
About this role
Under direct, but not constant supervision, you will perform a full range of overhead line construction and maintenance work on the electrical transmission, sub-transmission, distribution, or service systems. This work will be performed on both de-energized and energized lines at all voltages. Other duties may include similar and less skilled work as required.
