Core Responsibilities
- A high school diploma/GED and a minimum of three years' relevant work experience if required for this position. An AAS degree in Electrical Technology and a minimum of one (1) year relevant technical experience is preferred.
- Previous work experience in the installation, maintenance and repair of electric distribution equipment is preferred.
- Candidates should have a strong working knowledge of basic AC and DC electrical power theory and circuit analysis.
- Selected candidates must have knowledge and experience with computer systems and must be able to use them to perform automated testing and prepare spreadsheets and technical reports.
- Selected applicants will perform testing, troubleshooting, and repairs on multi-bank, and unit substation equipment and on various equipment on the electric distribution system.
- Selected applicants must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills and will be required to pass the placement exam and interview.
- These candidates must also possess excellent verbal and written communications skills and will be required to pass the placement exam and interview. The position may require working various shifts and overtime to meet job schedules. A valid driver's license is required.
