Shift: Day and Night shift available
Duration: 3 months w/potential long term work
Responsibilities
- Read and interpret welding process specifications
- Operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment to fuse metal segments using processes such as gas metal arc (GMAW), flux-core arc (FCAW)
- Operate manual or semi-automatic flame cutting equipment
- Operate brazing and soldering equipment
- Operate metal shaping machines such as brakes, shears and other metal straightening and bending machines
- Repair worn parts of metal products by welding on extra layers
- Operate previously set up welding machines such as spot, butt and seam resistance or gar and arc welding machines to fabricate or repair metal parts
- Start up, shut down, adjust and monitor robotic welding production line
- Assist with the maintenance and repair or welding, brazing and soldering equipment
- May adjust welding heads and tooling according to work specifications
- Manual dexterity
- Other duties as required
Qualifications
Required Tickets:
- Journeyman Welder ticket
- B-pressure certificate
- CSTS
Qualifications:
- Must have 6010/7018 F3/F4, STT/FCAW F6/F6 tickets
- Years of experience in a shop fabrication environment w/ experience welding STT/FCAW wire process
- Familiar with roll welding using power rolls and spinners
- Must be able to read and interpret weld procedures
- Sub arc experience but not necessary
- Ability to wear full face respirator for 10 hrs/day
