Summary:
Provide pipeline and paving cut information to various permit jurisdictions as needed to obtain and maintain permits in a timely and professional manner. Support other team members through a rapid and accurate completion of assigned tasks.
Tasks & Responsibilities:
Prepare maintenance, replacement, and new business permit sketches, and electronic files (GIS) from a computer mapping database, following WG departmental and corresponding jurisdictional agency standards/requirements; requiring research of the mapping database and other resources (i.e., Google earth) as well as Auto Cad proficiency;
Research and provide copies of pipeline records upon request;
Provide pipeline records that are displaying Washington Gas facilities located within VDOT right of way for processing CE-7/Utility Packages meeting the established VDOT and Fairfax County street acceptance guidelines.
Perform research to determine proper traffic control plan and attaches same to permit application.
Attach/Input permit drawings and other jurisdictionally required information (i.e., GIS information) within WIMIS Web portal and other systems as necessary;
Actively monitor workload in WIMIS by running appropriate queries and notifies supervisor of outstanding issues which may impede successful completion of assigned duties.
Proactively follow up with the permit creator when additional information is required to complete the permit sketch successfully.
Update WIMIS and other systems and documents with the appropriate status of work regarding authorization status.
Utilize current ADC Map Book to verify correct jurisdictional agency.
Assists with providing quantities used to determine permit cost.
Requests checks, as needed, for the associated license fee.
Other duties as assigned.
Skills & Abilities:
High School diploma or equivalent G.E.D.
Drafting experience required.
Must have AutoCAD experience
