Description
Responsible for exhibiting Chesapeake Utilities Corporation's Mission, Vision and Values, regarding external customers, agencies, vendors, internal departments and co-workers. This position works independently and is responsible for the oversight of the activities of the Energy Logistics Analysts as well as the analytical reporting for the department. The position is responsible for scheduling the activities of the Energy Logistics Analysts, review of their work and training in order to ensure that all deadlines are met. This position is responsible for making gas supply decisions up to their purchasing authority and oversees the analysis activities of measurement data and field reports to recommend adjustments to current and historical volumetric flow. This position is also responsible for the creation and maintenance of regularly scheduled analytical reporting, including reporting of all gas supply costs, and provides oversight to the analysis and resolution when gas volume discrepancies arise.
Primary duties and responsibilities include:
- Coordinate the responsibilities of and assist with the supervision of the Energy Logistic Analysts.
- Oversee, train, and review the activities performed by the Energy Logistics Analysts.
- Prepare and negotiate the supply contracts for all Florida Divisions up to purchasing authority.
- Assure compliance with all internal controls and audit responsibilities.
- Decide the day to day schedules and workload of the Energy Logistics Analysts in order to carry out the goals of the department.
- Oversee the customer list by Shipper and rate class of all customers on transportation service rates for all Florida Divisions and calculation of monthly capacity relinquishment volumes.
- Ensure the timely coordination of deliverables to other departments including the upload of the monthly billing datasheet with Customer Relations.
- Calculate the monthly Purchased Gas Adjustment including projected over/under recovery.
- Create and refine department analytics to include monthly and quarterly analytical reporting related to the Company's gas supply including pipeline, commodity and administration costs.
- On-call responsibilities as required.
- Performs all other duties as assigned by the Manager, Business Services
Requires a total commitment to Chesapeake Utilities Corporation's Mission, Vision and Values and:
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite of software. Advanced knowledge of Excel formulas, pivot tables and macros preferred.
- Knowledge of AMR, Talon, Epicor, Doclink & ECIS software preferred.

Working Conditions/Physical Requirements
- Traveling to Company, industry, association and training meetings could account for 25% of normal hours.
