Overview
This position will report to the Engineering Manager, Tank Services and will prepare and check detailed drawings of tanks according to specifications provided by customer and industry standards. This position will be located in our Tulsa, Oklahoma office.
Responsibilities
- Actively supports the Company's Code of Business Conduct and Ethics, Key Results, Cultural Beliefs, and Safety Vision.
- Experience in detailing and checking above ground storage tanks for the petroleum industry using API-650 and API-653 design codes.
- Knowledge of ancillary equipment (i.e. ladders, platforms, and internals) is required. Knowledge of tank inspection, repair, alteration and reconstruction is preferred. Drafting experience with structural, piping and vessels is a requirement.
- Will review specifications and work with mechanical designers to develop control drawings.
- Will review fabrication drawings and equipment vendor reports as needed. Ability to read blueprints and schematics produced by AutoCAD
- Detail and check small to large tank projects. Be able to take a project from start to finish. Can detail and check any size project with speed and accuracy.
- Must be able to perform at a high level to maintain project schedules. Individual requires minimum checking and minimum supervision.
- Work with Project Manager to produce high-quality designs for above ground tanks.
- Be able to form working relationships with internal and external customers.
- Prompt and dependable attendance is required.
- Other duties as assigned.
