This position is responsible for strategic development, execution and state-wide management for Supply Chain warehouse operations (Distribution, Transmission, Regions, Lighting, IT, Metering, etc.), which includes supply chain logistics, SERP restoration, and asset disposition for Georgia Power Company.

- Must be willing to live within a 50-mile radius of Atlanta, Georgia. Relocation assistance is available.
MAJOR JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Promote and be a champion of Safety Excellence initiatives
- Establish strategic direction, working collaboratively with senior leadership and external suppliers for state-wide Transmission & Distribution inventory throughput of over $314 million, equipment management of over $900k, and Critical Spare Parts in substation inventory throughput of $47.6 million
- Manages daily GPC, SCM operations with an operational budget of over $16 million in expenditures, staffing, strategic and tactical planning/goal setting and business alignment
- Responsible for the state-wide strategic direction and execution for GPC SCM, supporting GPC Customer Service Organization (Distribution, Transmission, Regions, Lighting, Metering, etc.); warehousing optimization, planning of transportation requirements, asset disposition, critical stocking strategy, control management inventory, purchasing and support contract services
- Provide leadership and guidance (both directly and indirectly) to a team of two team leaders, eight supervisors, as well as a staff of up to 125 employees; managing relationships to ensure competence and continuous skill development, employee/leadership development and performance management
- Manages the MDC and multiple regional warehouses and associated region inventory for Distribution, Transmission, Network Underground, Lighting, and Metering; partnering with region management, power delivery, transmission, lighting, network underground and customers to develop and maintain strategy associated with base inventory, critical stocking, and planning
- Responsible for SERP (storm restoration) efforts, which includes establishing and directing staging for statewide materials distribution, logistics, manpower, equipment, and collaboration with other SERP coordinators
- Partner with Transmission to support Integrated Transmission System (ITS) and co-owned inventory agreements with Georgia municipal utilities; managing and controlling the inventory associated with those agreements
- Accountable for managing all compliance and environmental (EPA) controls associated with FS6 GAS and ensure that the company meets/exceeds all State and Federal guidelines for storage, issuance, transporting, and purchasing to eliminate any regulatory exposure
- Accountable for managing Warehouse Operations communication with Region Vice Presidents, Transmission & Distribution General Managers, and Region Power Delivery Managers as well as interaction with company officers, as needed
- Manages and oversees a two-year training program for all GPC SCM covered employees related to Maximo, inventory management and warehousing, including administration of competency assessments which impact continued employment
- Ensures that all compliance requirements are met, including the administration of Southern Company Supply Chain Code of Conduct with suppliers, as well as employees
