The Supplier Diversity Manager is responsible for the development and execution of Peoples Gas and North Shore Gas' strategy for the expansion and growth of the Supplier Diversity Initiative (SDI). This role serves as an advisor and primary resource to the Executive/Senior leadership team on goal development, strategy, execution, and key performance indicators that support the business case for supplier diversity. This role is responsible for supplier education and development based on existing supplier diversity and supply chain processes. Serves in leadership roles in Supplier Diversity business associations to demonstrate our commitment and increase the utilization of diverse suppliers with the WEC Group supply base.
Specific Duties:
- Provide guidance and assistance MBE's, WBE's, and VBE's in areas including, bidding requirements, certification, and insurance.
- Analyze, interpret and track data to establish benchmarks, strategies, and goals to ensure present and future growth and success of the program.
- Act as the primary resource; establish strategic, effective relationships both internally and externally on supplier diversity issues.
- Work with Supply Chain Managers to coach employees with contracting authority on effective methods to ensure the development and maintenance of a diverse supplier base.
- Support potential suppliers with advanced development and diverse business strategies.
- Working with sourcing professionals, commodity teams, and operating groups to build project plans that achieve diverse business purchasing goals via training, developing reports and analysis.
- Coordinate and manage events on behalf of Peoples Gas and North Shore Gas and diversity business advocacy organizations.

Education/Experience Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance or a related discipline is required.
A minimum of 5 years relevant Supplier Diversity Program or Supply Chain experience.
- Working experience and knowledge of corporate supplier diversity programs, Supply Chain and supplier contracting practices, and governmental regulations pertaining to the supplier diversity industry.
- Working knowledge of compliance reporting practices.
- Ability work collaboratively and interact diplomatically, yet assertively.
- Strong presentation/training skills required.
