Duties:
- Reporting to the Manager, Financial Reporting and Planning, you will flex your analytical data management skills to explore the fast-paced dynamic financial results of our energy trading portfolio. Being a self-starter, you'll efficiently and accurately complete your standard deliverables, allowing you to stretch your creative muscle and thought-leadership to bring outside the box solutions to special projects and initiatives. You'll be a key contributor to the annual financial planning process, and dig deep into underlying business drivers affecting Powerex's bottom line.
- You'll be surrounded by a strong team of finance professionals, working together to deliver best- in-class service to the executive management.
- Furthermore, you'll leverage your professional toolbox to: Develop the annual budgets, business plan and forecasts as well as any information required to
- support the consolidated process
- Collect and analyze large volume information and develop and implement innovative solutions that can be readily maintained and used by others to create, gather and compile financial data and estimates into meaningful reports
- Develop, analyze, prepare and/or review complex financial information and reports to assist senior management in understanding business results, including preparing and/or reviewing board reporting packages
- Daily analysis of net income reporting, including detailed analysis of key performance indicators
- Lead the strategic planning, process design and implementation of a variety of Finance team initiatives, and assist in training and developing other employees within the team
